Welcome to the Spell-Forge of OVERKOR! This is a place where you can present your own Spell ideas and discuss them with the community. We are excited to see what you come up with! Here are some tips on how to get started.

If you are a Spell-Forger, there are three main sections you should cover:

1. Explanation
You should cover the mechanics of the Spell and how it behaves. This goes from a basic idea up to a detailed information sheet.

Example
Elemental KOR: Fire/Shadow
Weapon: Artifact + Wand
On click MB1: When you click once XYZ happens
On holding MB1: When you hold the left mouse button XYZ happens.
On hit: On hitting something it does XYZ
etc...

2. Balance
In order to fit in with the core mechanics we ask you to give us a general idea on how the spell is balanced.

Example
Casting Cost: X mana
Casting Cooldown: X seconds
Charging Cost per second: X mana
etc...

If you have trouble to come up with exact numbers or can't think of any, a simple "low cost" or "high cooldown" works also!

3. Visualisation
The last step is an illustration of the looks of the spell. Don't worry you don't need to be a concept artist in order to display your idea. This part helps you to show how exactly you imagined your spell.

Example
An epic drawing in paint!

I think we can all agree on that you can do better than this! amused

Remember these are only general way points for you, if you feel more comfortable to write in your own style feel free to do so.

If you participate in the discussion of a Spell, it's important to give constructive criticism:

1. If you don't like something, tell the OP your opinion and give a reason, so you can help him to improve his Spell
Example
Bad post: "This is crap."
Good post: "I don't like the fact that XYZ because it interferes with XYZ. You should consider changing XYZ to XYZ"

2. Be respectful and keep in mind that the OP put effort in his post.
